So far this little friend is everything I wanted. I can check my mails with a little flick, the browser is ok and writing sms is plain fun :)

The browser and Dangers reduction algorithms lack some CSS handling. For example this page is cramped to the right side of the screen. Nothing a little browser detection with a dedicated CSS can not fix.

It is almost fun when an ICE is cancled and you can look up an alternative route.

More work the next weeks to free up the time for aKademy. Despite my talk being scheduled for 7:00 on the last day of the conference I am still determined to make it a good one. :)

My mobile plan expired. Gadget Time
So this is my first post while being on the road^Wtrain. Ha, this will enable me to post more than Aaron :)

I attached a photo from the rather bad included cam. We will see how it looks on the page.

Reading mail while waiting for the train sure is fun. Being a mail junkie I should have had something like this for a long time already.

Update: The image did not work. Have to investigate this a bit.

I really have to start a reliable and above all automatic backup regime.

I lost 4 weeks of unsaved work and unread mail 2 weeks ago. I am still recovering from it. What I did wrong you ask? Nothing, beside
mkfs.reiserfs /dev/hda3
hda3 being my main partition and hda5 which I wanted to format my playground partition. I know about
--rebuild-tree
, for the record: It is useless on ReiserFS. I am running on ext3 now.

Since the only thing the stupid DVD burner in my laptop can burn in a reliable way is DVD-RAM, I bought some of those. Figuring out a backup cycle which is O.K. for me. I know enough about backup cycles for companies or entities like that. I am organized different from a company, so I have to cope with my screwed workflow.

This takes a bit, since I wonder if it is better to change my workflow (increase in productivity?) or adjust my backup to what I am used to ATM, I try to adjust my workflow. Would result in saner sleep patterns, too.
