People far away, or even nearby but just outside our sphere see us as a very abstracted persona. “Oh, he’s someone from the suburbs of London? I know how those people are.”

Anyways, showing them that we ‘here’ are just as human as them ‘there’ is probably the only way to bring the terror acts to a halt. Annoying them with all kinds of obstructions (frozen bankaccounts, infiltration, etc.) will only.. well.. annoy them.
